Wii motion plus dolphin 5.012/15/2023 It attaches snugly to the remote and doesn't interfere with using it. I bought this to play Skyward Sword, so that's my only experience with it. I can't stand playing with the wire, nor without a nunchuk (the player doesn't always move where you need them to), so my preferred mode of play in the end is going to be WITHOUT THE MOTION PLUS but with a wireless nunchuk!!! Since I'm not actually going to use the MP in the end, I suppose I downgrade my review to one star! Grand Slam Tennis is enjoyable and I'm moving up on the learning curve, but this unfortunately spoils it for me. ![]() Sidenote: Nintendo sued Nyko last summer over their Kama wireless nunchuk - see story on joystiqcom. They both work perfectly without the MotionPlus.ĬOME ON NINTENDO, when do we get an official wireless nunchuk that will work with the MotionPlus? If you're going to cripple 3rd party add-ons then at least release an official one (and squeeze even more $$$ out of us!!). To get the dongles of both to fit into the MotionPlus connector I had to open them up, remove the circuit board and use a Dremel to file down the edges - if it worked I would have made a more permanent mod. I attached a standard wired nunchuk into each (the Nyko is a weird shape but is better made BTW). I stopped at a GameCrazy (Hollywood Video) store and found they had an 'Intec Wireless Nunchuk Kit' (but again just one, and it too is discontinued). I checked stock in the GameStop stores in my area and found just one, a long drive away. GameStop list the 'Nyko Nunchuk Cord-Free Wireless Adaptor' on-line for $6 but they're discontinued - you can also find them elsewhere on-line but for double that price. OK, bottom line is the Wireless Nunchuk Adapters I tried do NOT work either! If you want the boring details then read on :p I'm going to get one to try it out and will post back how it works. Also read that the Wii Cord-Free Wireless Adaptor from Nyko DOES work - presumably because it is using the actual Nintendo nunchuk? (with its cord wrapped up and plugged into a wireless transmitter). ![]() I've read on a gamespotcom forum that other manufacturer's wireless nunchuks don't work either. If I remove the MP then the Datel goes back to working fine again. THEN found out that the Datel nunchuk does not respond at all, in any mode. So I pulled back the sleeve and clipped of the plastic at the corners of the Datel so that it plugs in perfectly. The silicone sleeve and plastic pegs get in the way and stop the Datel connector plugging into the MP. With the MP attached, firstly the Datel wireless dongle no longer fits into the port that is now on the bottom of the MP. Just got the Motion Plus and Grand Slam Tennis - seems to work fine - too early to say for sure if I'm happy with it or not.īUT I wanted to post to let people know that if you have a 3rd party WIRELESS nunchuk then it probably will NOT work with the MotionPlus! This is really irritating because I hate the cord on the regular nunchuk whipping around, smacking me in the face and hand-cuffing my movements! I have 2 of the Datel wireless nunchuks and they work great without the MotionPlus.
